Hello I´m going to Glasgow at the very same weekend that you have your Scottish Championships. I have some questions that I hope someone can answer. 1. Is Motherwell far from Glasgow? 2. How do I get there easiest? 3. When does it start on Saturday? 4. Is there a gala concert? 5. Is it set pieces or is it a program of free choice?
Thank´s in advance for answers.

Hi there highlander! Here are some answers which I hope will help you. 1. Motherwell is quite close to Glasgow. 2. Probably easiest to use the train (about 30 minutes) between Glasgow Central Station and Motherwell. 3. Full details are available on the SBBA web site including information about timings, getting to the venue, places to eat and drink and more. 4. No gala concert 5. Set pieces for each of the sections. In the UK the same piece is set per section in each region. This year's selections are: Sunday Championship: Journey To The Centre Of the Earth (Peter Graham) 1st: Voyage Of Discovery (Goff Richards) Saturday 2nd: Images Of The Millenium (Howard Snell) 3rd: Entertainments (Gilbert Vinter) 4th: Anglian Dances (Alan Fernie) I hope that you manage along some time during the weekend and are suitably entertained by all of the competing bands

Sections 1 to 3 online now minus a few bands who just didn't get in contact. Section 4 will be online next weekend.
