Awe, cheers Bruce. Lots of hard work ahead. The piece is harder than it looks. Not many semi quavers, Just a lot of trying to knit things together. We will have to be on top form to get into the top 10 me thinks.

Sinfonietta is ace!
The Perfect Fool is not. Dire scoring for Band and the publisher probably got music editors off the street because the amount of printing errors is beyond disgraceful!
Should be a good National this year, thought I won't be able to make it this year. Good luck to all.

Sinfonietta is ace!quote] Yup, certainly is, just had my first run-through on the piece, and there's quite alot in it. Should work out a good challenge methinks, theres alot of music to be found.

Totaly agree there guys. If any one has ever heard this piece. But not seen the music, you are in for a shock.
We Start in earnest now , trying to knit it all together. I think its going to be a frustraiting time for all conductors and players alike.
Is there any chance of getting a piece written without mistakes nowadays? Come on, its the 21st centuary after all.

Good Luck to all the Scottish representatives at Harrogate this weekend. Takes a lot of race-nights,late nights, and "fall-out" nights to get bands to the Finals, so not only well done to the players for getting there in the first place, but well done to all the administration people behind the scenes who have had the thankless job of organising the trip.

May I add my best wishes to ALL the Scottish Bands taking part this weekend. Especially Turriff, who have a fantastic bunch of young kids with lots of potential, and have the furthest to travel. Break a leg!
