Looking forward to going down to Brass in Concert again this year. The new venue is the unknown factor, but I'm sure it'll be great. The event had definitely outgrown the facilities at the leisure centre, Spennymoor. Anyone else going down?

The Sage is a fantastic venue! (The north's answer to Symphony Hall). I'll be there listening as well, since it's on my doorstep, it'd be rude not to. Hopefully no-one will get gastric flu this year.

Hopefully no-one will get gastric flu this year. God I hope not! I was floored by that bug for about a fortnight last year

Yeah it was pretty disgusting, I practically slept in the bathroom for two days. Not nice.

Aye, we're off that day Mr Frame.
No doubt see some of you there, as I'm guesting with 'The Enemy' up the road.
I see there's a new Derek Bourgeois percussion solo with band being premiered at the Saturday night concert as well - nice to see!

Don't you get any ideas. You make enough racket as it is and I'm sure Mr Duncan and his charges will be delighted with you calling your colleagues for the day "The Enemy Up The Road" - What a charmer ! Hope you weren't at their rehearsal last night by the way. Wouldn't want you getting into trouble

Yes, disappointed I missed that, my other life as an under 16's football coach is a "pregnant dog" sometimes ! Drew 2-2 away to Falkirk.

All being well I'll be there.
One big plus of new venue is you can decide last minute to go and not have ticket issues. Plus you get a nite out in the toon on Sat!!!

See you there Raymond. HOPEFULLY cos I'm not so sure about your "lack of ticket issues". I booked 2 weeks ago and struggled to get the area I wanted ! There were only two choices (admittedly for two seats ) in the stall area and the same for levels one and two at the sides. The only area back then where the tickets were readily available was the back balcony.

I think what Ray meant was that when it was at Spennymoor, it was sold out months in advance and you couldn't just decide the week before that you wanted to go. At least there are still some seats available.

One of my pals from North East is going, and i dont think they managed to get tickets, but apparently the tv in the bar will be showing it.... Sounds like perfect place to watch the fun from!!
Seriously tempted to go down..........
