Ok say theres a person who hasnt practised over the Christmas period due to so little time and this person now finds they can't get any lower than a C above middle G... Anyone any ideas as to what they should do? Is there a quick fix? This person is also strapped for time between now and going back to band due to coursework and engagements.

your friend should make thyre mouth into the shape of blowing out a candle........ weird i know but loosens your lips up and keeps ur chops working. also buzz your lips dont use mouth peice....and if tht doesnt work get the instrument out and play the lowest note you can or pedals and just play long notes should become eayer the 2time round. And just for the record Philippa.......It is so you x x

Well Pip, Dave will [glow=red,2,300]NOT be a happy chappy[/glow] with YOU, I mean your "friend", however, you need to buzz with or without mouthpiece at every opportunity and play long notes on your horn (mf) with loose chops and gradually lower the notes chromatically. It will work within a couple of days IF you make sure you buzz at EVERY free minute you have, this will re-tone the embouchure. My invoice will follow shortly. Oh, and a very [glow=red,2,300]Happy New Year [/glow]to you and the DTB crew. ;D ;D ;D

Listen my lovely, [glow=red,2,300]I had to pay for it[/glow], it's only fair that you contribute for the benefit you derive??? p.s. is the band on tomorrow? p.s.s. I'm neither German or a Rangers supporter!
