Alex McLeish got stopped for speeding in Glasgow yesterday. He wasn't too happy about the £60 fine but says the 3 points will come in very handy.

Doesn't even need a point tonight to be the FIRST Scottish team into the next stage of the champions league.

Doesn't even need a point tonight to be the FIRST Scottish team into the next stage of the champions league. Well actually he did. He needed Artmedia to only take a point from Porto to ensure qualification. Excellent result for Rangers, the one in Bratislava that is. I'm sure they'll do excellently well whoever they draw from Bayern, Juve, Milan, Arsenal, Lyon, or anyone from Group D.

Not up to speed on European football. How did Celtic get on last night?Did they not play a game as well in Bratislava recently,or was that in a different competition? I take it the "Champions" League means the teams that play in this League are the current "Champions"?

I think the name of the competition is a bit misleading now since some of the larger footballing nation can have up to four teams qualifying

However they did beat them 4-0 at Parkhead and I believe they are still the only Scottish team to beat Bratislava over 90 minutes this season.

Sounds like Scottish teams have done well in Europe this year then. Celtic only Scottish team to beat Bratislava over 90 mins, and Rangers only Scottish team to progress into last 16 in Champions League. No difference in both achievements, both very impressive.

Yes,your right.Being doing a bit of research on internet and apparently Rangers are recognised by the football governing bodies(U.E.F.A anf F.I.F.A)as being "the worlds most successful football club",in relation to records they have made with regards to their achievements. They must be something special. Can,t think of a better recognition than that.
