You have to have numbers 1-9 in each row but never the same number twice in each row. Tricky but good fun once you get the hang of it.

The numbers 1 to 9 need to be unique not only in each row but also each column and each 3x3 sub-grid. There are only about 4 techniques required to solve them, no matter how complex the starting position. It all comes down to rigorous application of the rules (which you'll discover after doing relatively few of the puzzles).

Can be very addictive once your hooked.... Tip number one - tools required a pencil and rubber. So frustrating to think you've cracked it and your almost finished to find duplication in one of the rows or columns great for clearing the mind and forgetting about everything else in life ;D ;D ;D Doc

So Doc,
You have finally succumbed to the almost hypnotic and magnetic lure of the Sudoku grid? That makes me chuckle seeing you were giving me such a hard time on the bus going to the Scottish Open about me doing a Sudoku puzzle!!!
I'm now totally hooked on them and need a daily fix to keep me going!
