Just got back from band practice tonight and wondered why I hadn't seen our 2nd trombone in a while. It appears that at the Borders contest during Reunion and Finale her lung punctured. Poor girl was in agony and ended up in hospital that evening. Anyone else heard of strange banding injuries???

My best man fell of the Stage at the Scottish champs in Motherwell a few years back. knackerd his wrist, and the Flugal wasn't much better. I think they got to play again. It was Lochgelly. So when you MD asked you's to all move closer, i would think carefully, how much room there is b4 you do it. But then again Gordon always lives life on the edge

hey the same thing kinda happened to me at Harrogate, was loaded with the cold over the contest, played a lot over September/October and ruptured my diaphragm and intercostal muscles..now that's painful..hardly played a note at Whitburn and had a sick line ready..still not playing much this side of the year!
