One of the players from Tokyo Brass Concord gave me a Roger Webster 4 as a leaving present - have to say, it's a great mouthpiece! Takes a bit of work in the upper register, but certainly my tone is much better than it was before - don't sound like an old lady screaming now!

I use one on trumpet sometime, if anybody watched Still Game Xmas Special last night they might have seen me using it then, great for playing in the cold!! The black one makes you look like you have a wee "Hitler Tache" ;D

Does anyone play on a Sparx mouthpiece? I've just ordered one after spending ages looking at conversion tables to work out which one I wanted. Hope I've got it right because its an expensive mistake if not!

I use a RW3B I find it easier to get my high notes, when I have them which is not very often

I'm using a DW 3b, has taken me a long time to find a mouth piece that feels right, no sure if it sounds right though....

Ive been using a Marcinkiewicz mouthpiece, www.marcinkiewicz.com/mouthpieces/for a while now and find them much easier in the high register than a VB and have more control than with a DW.

Yes, the 17C is a dream. I'm not a fan of the DW mouthpieces.
When I played with Tullis I used to play on a 7EW (Yamaha) which was OK, but the 17C VB hits the spot nicely - and it seems to be the standard mouthpiece shipped with most Soprano's.

Hi All Trying to get that higher register on my sop,yes there is plenty of practice going on occasionally i get there but not consistant,I use a 17c at the moment ,but leaves blister like shape on lips ,was recommended to use vincent bach 3c ,wider rim,any thoughts also if anyone has one available i have a Blessing 7c or Dennis Wick s for swap ,will persevere with 17c until something else turns up.
