Eccles Borough Band (my band) won the 3rd section and best instrumentalist prize (Euph) at the Wilkinsons contest in St. Helens on Sunday 19th Nov. We played Dimensions by Peter Graham. We got the highest number of points awarded all day...odd but true. This is the first contest the band have done in 2 years and firmly deserved our win! Well done to Ray (Flugel at Eatons Farnworth Walkden) for winning the best instrumentalist in the 4th section! - good lad, Ray is, he had a long walk from the balcony to the stage to collect his certificate!
