I also end up playing in solo contests for the same reason, and to be honest, I consider it a triumph of hope over experience that I get up on the stage at all. I quite enjoy it though, in a masochistic kind of way ( particularly in light of the fact that I play Baritone ). I will probably play at the Scottish solos seeing as I've qualified for it What to play though? There are loads of solos I like but which are unfortunately beyond my technical abilities, eg. Fatherland, Pandora, etc. In other words, anything with loads of triple tonguing in. Your not left with much to choose from are you? Suggestions anyone?

Thanks to my wife for her suggestion: Baa Baa Blacksheep!! That's top of the list at the moment.
