Naomi and I took these photos of the lunar eclipse on 3rd March. The equiptment we have that enabled us to takes these photos is a Celestron 8" Newtonian Reflector telescope and a Sony Cyber-Shot Digital Camera. My Telescope is pictured below. I put several images together in a graphics package to build this collage. The actual eclipse (where the moon turns red) doesn't show too well as the camera did not allow it for some reason. During Totality (full eclipse) the moon looked very much like Mars, especially through the telescope's finderscope. It was a very surreal night! And... My telescope....

T'was a splendid viewing... the pics aren't bad for that digi camera Need it to be summer next time and have a BBQ lol ;D

Good pic James, I wouldnt have a clue how to do that. On a more serious note though, I thought the police confiscated your telescope after that woman complained in Leven.
