Was just wondering what the situation is at other bands at this time for year. We finish up tonight with a band night out then return in prep for the Scottish on the 5th of Jan.
Do most bands get big turn outs at this time of year? And when do you return back to normal practice times (if you take time off)

We are finished practices now after our big concert on Friday night. No practices until 9th January although we do have Christmas Eve Carol service and then New Years Day around the town.

We have our last rehearsal tomorrow evening (and going out for a curry afterwards) and start back on 10th January. We've got a carol job on Christmas eve in a local pub, but I'll be in snowy Fife by then.

Rehearsals finished on Friday then we played 4 hours of carols at the Mercat (shopping centre) yesterday morning followed by the carol service in the evening. On Christmas Eve a bunch of us will be wandering around playing carols at Gleneagles Hotel. Then it's back to work on the 10th of January, getting ready for the Scottish.

There's a Convent tucked away in Dysart. The churchy thing is an L . shape. So the Nuns sit in one room, the public sit in the other room, and the brass players sit in the corner between the 2 rooms, so every1 can see us. Played there last year and got something from one of the Nuns a Calander
