Ours jackets are similar to Kirkies and also St Davids I think, we only use them at big indoor concerts and contests. The whole band has black fleeses with the badge on it and maroon poloshirts for other concerts and other more relaxed things. The poloshirts are fine for warm concerts and less formal things etc, also the fleece is nice and warm and is ok enough for a sort of walking out uniform, alot easier to spot the young members wandering off if they are all wearing the same thing!!
We're looking at getting the youth band black shirts with emblem as part of their formal uniform, although nobody that we've contacted seems to do kids sizes, any ideas?

Agree with Bill about the fleeces, especially for these cold months. I like the idea of waistcoats as they are much better for stage.

I like the idea only for waist coats on stage for comfort,I'm still a great believer in the old style jacket.

Willie, there's a place in Strathmiglo that does them and they are pretty cheap too. I'll get their number and pm you with it later.

The only problem which may have been already mentioned and it really is a big problem is that with having two outfits you have to carry them both about which is a pain and means that if your a woman you have to faff about with the toilets getting changed etc etc....

I'll tell you something I have noticed creeping back into uniforms...the coloured stripe down the trouser leg. Sometimes a double stripe! Is this the thin end of the wedge? Who knows, but if this trend is allowed to continue, we might soon be sitting on stage with peaked hats, etc. again.

Saw a few "stripe down the leg" uniforms when we were down at the Nationals. Most worrying... ;D

We have the stripe down the leg on our stage trousers. And all our trousers are mens so the 6 girlies in the band have to wear sexy man pants so we all metch. Simon Cowell eat your heart out!!
